The Children's Bureau, Inc. Board of Directors today announced that Tina Cloer has been named as its new President and CEO. The selection was made after an extensive national search process. Cloer replaces Ron Carpenter, who left the Children's Bureau in August after 16 years as President.

Children's Bureau, Inc. welcomes nine newly appointed members to its Board of Directors. Board members serve a three year term, with an option to renew membership after their term expires. Board members are volunteers that are fully supportive of the mission of Children's Bureau, which is to "Help Indiana Children in Need".

Children's Bureau, Inc. recognized two outstanding child advocates during their 2010 Annual Meeting. The Roberta West Nicholson "Child Advocacy Award" was presented to JauNae Hanger and The Indianapolis Star for their pioneering work that has brought attention to the many important youth issues in our community. Because of their efforts, youth have been made better off, and will feel positive benefits long into the future.

Neighborhood Alliance for Child Safety (NACS) program will celebrate the program's 10th anniversary on Wednesday, June 3rd at an open house from 1:00 �" 3:00 p.m. The presentation at 1:30 will include special guest speakers, James W. Payne, Judge, Director of the Indiana Department of Child Services and Ron Carpenter, President and CEO of Children's Bureau, Inc. The event will take place at the first NACS office located at 2001 W. Washington Street.
